And the Search Continues...

What's more depressing than being unemployed and sending out endless resumes and cover letters to no avail?

I don't know, what could possibly be worse you might ask.

Well I will tell you.

Going to a temp agency downtown when it is windy outside and you almost don't fit quite right into your old work clothes, and being forced to watch a 16 minute and 41 second video about the importance of 1. using a handrail to walk down stairs, 2. only opening 1 file cabinet door at a time, 3. not placing hot, spillable liquids near your computer, and 4. having already watched the video about 8 months ago at the same temp agency in San Diego. As if being there is not bad enough. Oh, did I mention I'm about to hit what most consider a milestone-ish birthday in about 6 days...

I'm trying to focus on the positive, like I just got new carpet -- horray! Luckily I have about 17 hours a day just to lie on it, create carpet-angels, and dream about Oprah.

Yep, life is grand.


I suppose if I had a bunch of friends and we went to church group, that's what making a carpet angel could look like.
